La band non nasconde certamente il retaggio death metal ma ne cambia i riferimenti (se di riferimenti si può parlare). Se su Symmetry Of Delirium v’erano chiare ed inevitabili influenze mutuate da act quali Suffocation, Origin e Cephalic Carnage, il nuovo corso guarda, in tali ambiti, sicuramente più a nord e vira sui lidi psicotici, neri e disturbanti tanto cari ai maestri canadesi Gorguts. L’ipotetico “ponte” rappresentato dall’EP Molochian qualcosa, come già detto, lasciava intravedere ma la realtà si rivela ben più ricca e sorprendente delle supposizioni. L’avvento di Sean Worrell alla voce aveva sicuramente dato un’impronta più europea (ed è un paradosso pensando alle origini americane del vocalist/axeman) e già chiare potevano essere una crescente predilezione verso le dissonanze e le atmosfere ricercate e dilatate. Nero Di Marte (l’album) riduce quanto detto a contenitore polidimensionale di suoni, melodie e umori in una continua ricerca empatica, scevra di pregiudizi e schemi.
